drive line length, lifted 78

putting on a lift, 4 inch, and my front driveline is to short, what have you guys used? it is a manual trans truck, a 78 with an sm 465. is an auto drive line longer, or do i have to have one made? have not gotten to the rear, what issues will arise there? remedies?

with a 4 inch lift it shouldnt be to short........ drop the t-case . the little spacers on top of the frame work perfect if you just move them under the frame between the crossmember and frame. that should drop your t-case about 1.5 inches if i recall.. that might help your troubles

the front will bolt back on, but it is all the way extended. rear is perfect. not the biggest fan of dropping the t-case down any, that was the point in lifting it. anyone know of a similar driveline? i can get conversion u joints if need be.

Most of the time, the yokes are different between the 4 speed equipped trucks and the automatics. I'm don't think that they will interchange, so the length difference (if any) would not be a big factor anyway. It would cost more to do any kind of "adapting" than to just get your original re-tubed, and definately be more hassle.
