How about this setup?
ive decided to rework my suspension a little bit, to get a few inches lower. it probably wont be until fall or winter until i get around to doing it but i want to get the parts and thinking out of the way now lol
i would like to do a setup like this...except instead of using a bridge bar on top to mount the bags, i would like to weld a top plate on top of the frame, then still offset a circle plate on the trailing arm like the pic below. this way, the ta will hit the frame, and i can get another 3" lower (the size of the collapsed bag). would this work? http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y15...RearSusp01.jpg |
Re: How about this setup?
You'd be boxing the frame I take it? Or at least near the upper plate?

Re: How about this setup?
I could, near the upper plate. and gusset the bottom plate like the pic. I could have sworn I seen a setup like that...

Re: How about this setup?
What your suggesting might work, but what you have pictured would be stronger.

Re: How about this setup?
i guess i could run it the same way in the pic, i just didnt want to add another bridge bar, but not a big deal. what size bar should i be looking for (square tubing)? i will be buying the plates from suicidedoors more than likely since i have ordered mostly everything else there. also, if i do it like the pic above, would i have to box in the frame in that area?
