can i use the factory mounting brakets that came off my 77 chevy on my 62 or do i have to order after market ones? by the way im going to run a 454 if that matters.

Re: motor mounts

Yes you can use the '77 motor mounts and brackets. However on the frame brackets you will need to add a spacer on top of the frame since the '62 frames are shorter than the '77 frames.

Re: motor mounts

Re: motor mounts

The spacers don't really move the engine up very much if at all. It is more so compensating for the difference in the frames, like I mentioned. You did convert to the '73-'87 front crossmember and suspension didn't you?
