Lowering my stock lwb

I plan on lowering my 71 lwb using 2 1/2 lowering spindles but I'm not sure what to use for the rear. Sould I use 2 inch lowering blocks or go for 2 inch lowered springs. Now, I do use my truck going to the dump or hauling stuff. I want to keeep the load from sagging the bed. I do take it cars shows aroung here and keep it in good shape but I sometimes have to use it otherwise. So any help will be greafull. It is a stock height.

biga,
I would definitely go springs. they are cheap. plus since you want to keep the load carrying characteristics of the truck, new springs compared to the oems (for the most part) are stiffer and contain higher spring rates.

:chevy:Thanks, that helps a lot. I can now understand why springs would be better. Cost a little more but will get the job done. :chevy:

That’s 2 inches closer to the ground them U bolts will hang too if using blocks, if your concerned about any clearance issue depending on where you drive that rig. So go with springs IMHO.

trail arm bushings and panhard bar bushings should b done too as well as the ball joints tierod ends etc// that way you get a greater ride quality

Love the look of a low lwb... Maybe even more than I do a low swb.

Post some pics after you do it.

Ran the lines back to the tag area and use them as my bolts for the tag.
