Anyone run one? If so Why, Why not? Im thinking of getting a weld in one.

I installed one from a 85 iroc, havent had much street time but so far it works GREAT!

I've often thought about installing one. The guys at ECE advised me against it. They said the stock trailing arm suspension with panhard bar is pretty stiff to begin with.

If I were to install one, it would be a Hotchkis setup.

I had one from ECE and once I replaced my trailing arms with the arms from Early classics I took it off as they advice me against it....I do have the front one from ECE and it works like a champ. The back one worked great with the old stock trailing arms.

I have one on the rear from a LS1 camaro.

However, I recently read an article (I think someone one posted it on here) where some magazine did some testing and got better slalom times without a rear bar.

However, the rear sway bar can be used for tuning the suspension depending on the size. Too large of a rear sway bar can induce oversteer. Yet having a large front bar and no rear bar may cause additional understeer (I assume that a front end heavy pickup will have understeer pretty much regardless).

So if you have a large front bar, a small back bar may help a little. It would also help with towing and drag racing as well.

i ran a helwig rear bar with stock front bar// was excellent for long distance towing and with very high heavy loads in the bed// truck handeled excellent both loarded and empty would do again without hesitation

i think the norm is rear should b 2/3 diameter of front bar for proper balance

I have one on my 84 GMC SWB and the install made a difference on that truck. It gives a more positive grip to the ground compared to the somewhat sloppy ride it had before. when I put the 68 together, I am seriously considering a bar on the back of it.

I really do not like my rear end bounding over every little bump. This and i would love it to corner better. I looked at my set up and what i want to do as far as Coil overs in front of the Axle. I will probably go with one that welds up between the rails and drops to the top of the axle. Like the Competition Engineering ones.

I can corner with some of the best cars, now that I have updated my rear end.
