A/C & Heater control cables

I finally installed a NOS A/C heater control unit replacing a not so good repop. Much better quality. I played with the repop cables for quite a while and can not get them to operate properly, not even close. I swapped cables positions several times between the levers and still no luck. I have never played with these types of cables before. Any advise would be appriciated. (I do have the assembly manual showing the correct position and location of the cables). Maybe it's a matter of getting OEM cables? Thanks.

Not sure on the repop cables, but on the originals if you will lube them with some teflon spray or if you can get some good grease down inside them, it'll help immensely!

The cables were still available from GM a year or so ago, but they needed a special tool to crimp the clamps onto the actual cable (some assembly required). You might check with classic muscle in Winston- salem NC to check availability.

The clamps can be opened up and moved where you need them. Mark the correct location on the cable housing, then use a cold chisel to set them in place.

OK, thanks, I'll call classic muscle. Anyone have a picture of the tool or have one for sale?
