Re: mph question???
If you'll give me a minute, i have i link to an exasperating, exhaustive, drawn out drama of my own concerning this very dilema that i went thru-----i usually make things more difficult than nessesary for some reason.

Re: mph question???
It's a simple matter of changing the driven gear that is inside the tailshaft of the transfercase. It is the square hole that drives the speedometer cable.
You will see a small bolt and forked clamp that hold in a circular "plug". When you remove the clamp the entire "plug" will pull out. The gear is on the end of it. Simply pull it off and take it to the dealer. They are color coded to display the tooth count. It helps to know where you are starting from, to determine which one you need. Cheap easy fix, unless you are waaay off, which you shouldn't be at this point. |

Re: mph question???
Don't mean to steal this thread, but i will soon be putting 35" tires on my truck, and have been doing some research on the speedo gear thing, and my t-case has a ratio adapter on the speedo gear right now. Does this ratio adapter need to be replaced with a different one or should i ditch the adapter all together and just replace the driven gear on the t-case?
