Where did you put your compressor
I'm building a 63 on bags, front and rear but I'm not sure on where to mount my compressor. Anyone has any pictures on where you mounted yours?
I have my tank bolts into the driver side frame so out of sight. |
Re: Where did you put your compressor
Your compressor should go near the tank so the leader hose reaches. You may want to also put a water trap between the the compressor's leader hose and the tank.
What size compressor are you using? |

Not sure as I am at work, when i get home I will look to see the size of the compressor.
What do you mean by a water trap? |

Re: Where did you put your compressor
A water trap/separator is a like a filter that keeps moisture from the compressor from getting into the tank, causing it to corrode from the inside. You could also put a drain in tank if you have an unused port on the bottom of it.

Re: Where did you put your compressor
Is it smarter to do two tanks and 2 compressors? I have 1 tank 5 gallons and 1 compressor. The Front takes most of the air because of the weight and the rear is fine because of no weight at all.
Any thoughts? |
Re: Where did you put your compressor
That really all depends. If your only going to drop it when you park and lift it to drive it then 1 compressor and tank will be fine. If you are gonna play with the switches alot then you will want to go with 2 compressors and tanks (or 1 bigger tank). It also depends on the size of the compressors. The bigger the compressor, the faster it will fill the tank.

Re: Where did you put your compressor
True, I cant drop the front while driving as front almost sits on the control arms.
The rear is fine playing with while driving or parking. I will mostly use it when I park as it was set up for running 20s but I have gone in a different direction. I'm going to run 15" rims, red with white walls i think. |
