temp switch
 
the temp switch that is in the head. i have the one off my 305 going onto my 400 and the hole is bigger on the 400 head so it wont fit the senser. is there a adapter or a bigger temp switch i use?



also. i need a plug the same size for the other head.

Yes you can use an adapter, you must have an aftermarket gauge do you . I thought all temp sending units were the same size until you got into the newer stuff

It's out of a 84 305 going into a 72 400 so the years are apart. And where could i get a adaptor? Summit?

The temp. sending units are both pipe thread one id 3/8's NPT and the 400 uses 1/2 NPT. You can go to any store that carries plumbing stuff and get an adapter to make it work. Here is what to look for

yup thats what i got. it was like 2.50

use that white piping tape one the threads right?

look for some high temp stuff to seal the threads

Too late it's all already in. Along with other parts with white tape
