V6 4.3L (262) on a 73 jimmy engine support question
Hi, I have a GMC jimmy 73, I want to know if I need to modify the supports or something else If I put a chevy 4.3 engine in my jimmy, my jimmy original config was 350 v8 (lost, long time ago) + SM465 + NP205 (4x4)

you won't have to modify anything should bolt right in.4.3l v6's are just 350's with the two front cylinders missing.

Might have to do something with the rad shroud, you're going to be a bit farther from the rad with the fan with a 6-banger.
All Chevy V-8's are the same distance from motor mount holes back to the bellhousing flange, anything extra or less is in front of that point. |

thats right, for that reason, I will replace the original fan with an electric fan (termoswitch activated)

Did you ever get that V6 in? I have a 4.3L fuel injected engine I'm putting into a 72 C-10 truck, and was curious about the motor mounts. I'm sure I can figure it out, but I was wondering if you already installed your engine and if you had any issues.
