Re: Old vs new front end
Maybe the lower control arm bushings? I know the earlier trucks had steel bushings, but I'm not sure when they switched to rubber.

Re: Old vs new front end
ok the front crossmember will look the same, but if it has rubber bushings for the control arms it will be a swapped end im just doing all this for the chance that i buy this, what spindles will i need..the 63 drop or the 73-87 drop or whatever..ill post more on this in the even any of this takes place

Re: Old vs new front end
There are a few ways that a disc brake conversion can be done. If you're thinking of switching to a drop spindle, the best thing to do is post a pic or two of what the truck has, and then we can determine what the parts are.

Re: Old vs new front end
This isn't 100% guaranteed, because you can get some oddball tie rod ends if you look hard enough, but it will work if the builder used stock parts. Measure the thread diameter (at the adjusting sleeve) on the outer tie rod ends, Factory disc brake spindles will be 11/16". Aftermarket conversion spindles will be 5/8" because they use the stock early tie rods.
