rally wheels

I am confused what (if any) rally wheels will fit my 60 gmc 6 lug. One vendor says there are over 600 different rally wheels made by GM alone. I don't know if i believe their claim, but I am confused by different stories i have gotten regarding this. I am aware that the centerbore of the trucks like my 60 are bigger than the newer wheels. My question is what years WOULD fit if any. I'm not sure what year the rallys started, but i think it was sometime in the early
80's but i'm really not sure. What WILL fit on these trucks besides the OEM given the larger center bore? Almost none of the newer aftermarket wheels will fit for the same reason from what i can tell. Also, if i were to get a micrometer measurement of the size centerbore hole needed to fit, what would it be?

I bought a new set of really wheels from a local guy here in ontario . he bought it in the usa . I did try them first on me truck before i bought them from him and the fit fine , I have dish brakes on the front and they clear the brakes. I will check tomorrow for the part number and the company where he bought it from ,I will post a picture tomorrow from the rims.

I'm not sure exactly what Rally style you mean; there are a few plus some aftermarket. I just used a set of 73-87 pick-up 6-lug Rally wheels on my '66. They fit the rear axle hub exactly( 3.5''dia I think ). On the new disc front they are slightly larger than the hub. I think the hub must be 3.25''dia.

Here is a pic before I got my new tires and wheels mounted on the truck........

I think the 6 lug 4x4 Rally's started around 1970. But the '73-'87 ones are easy enough to find. Since they are a 4x4 application, they have the larger center hole for the front differential hubs. Which happen to be the same size as our trucks need.

The small center holes started in 88 and the offset changed at the same time. You should be good with any wheels up through 87.

Re: rally wheels

As for the over 600 Rallys from GM ... Probably Yes .. If you count every GM car and Truck made from ?? thru Present ... But not in 6 Lug Wheels ..
