67 light wireing

hey all,,, i am new here so i am not to sure how to gather info yet so i will go ahead and ask some??? i am trying to get my turn signals and running lights sworking on the old truck. i need a wireing diagram i guess. so far the lefrt blinker works but that is it. the right blinker doesnt even make the flasher click. any advise. i am what alot of people consider very mechanical but to be honest lights throw me for a loop. i do body work, rebuild motors, rebuild trannys and diffs, you name it i have done it but ask me to wire up some trailer lights and i will be pulling my hair out in no time.:chevy:thanks

Go to "Forums" above then scroll down to "Electrical" and then then scroll down to diagrams.

Is the wiring intact in your truck? If it's all messed up, you may want to buy a wiring kit to make life easier. Also, make sure all your ground straps are new and have good clean connections. I had to add several in my old truck to help the lights work better. Amazing the difference.

Here's a site diagram: http://outintheshop.com/faq/wiring/wiring.htm

could be the turn signal swith in the column behind the steering wheel they go out on a lot of these old trucks and cause all kinds of lighting and turn signal problems.

ok this is what i was after.. i guess they have park lights but not running lights? seems like the tail lights would come on with the front running lights.... so they dont have tail lights with the headlights on? seems dangerous

added later... after reading through here awhile i ran across a post that said running lights didnt start until 1968.. is this true? and if so i am guessing its only for the front lights?
I saw your post and I quoted the second part above which indicates that you solved your own problem which is why I didn't reply and probably why no one else did as well.

Re: 67 light wireing

You have tail lights with park lights on and you have tail lights with head lights on. When headlights are on you do not have park lights on.
