Lets see that exhaust!
Ok. I have a 4bbl 350 with true duals already ran... 1 converter & glasspack per side. I dont need to pass an Echeck and I like loud sh*t. I need headers back. I'm thinking super 44's no converters, wrapped headman headers...Should I keep a high flow converter for the back pressure or is that not neccessary? Nothing too expensive this isnt a show truck its just a nice daily driver. Whos got opinions or ideas? Anything helps. Post some pics if you got'm!
Thanks! lml :chevy: |
Re: Lets see that exhaust!
q-jet 305 y pipe from headers {no cat} shooting into flowmaster 40 series delta force muffler with dual outlets leading into dual 3" tips

Re: Lets see that exhaust!
305 longtube Headers 2-1/2'' pipes Dual Exhaust all the way out back thrush mufflers dont have tips on at this time need to put them on:lol:
no cats |
Re: Lets see that exhaust!
^^^^^^I say that video doesn't give the actual sound and loudness of his truck he is running 2 1/2" compared to my 2 1/4"
my 76 has 2 1/4" true duals with turbos(brand unknown) no cats exiting before the rear wheel on each side running manifolds and it is really loud my grandpa complains when he thinks I'm revving it to high and I just tapped the accelerator I also have fun setting off my dads car alarm  |
Re: Lets see that exhaust!
I have header back with 2 1/4 pipe with super 40s that exit behind the rear tires
I like to go with 2 1/2 pipe with x and super 10s " there the most aggressive flow master yet" |

I'm not saying it's not loud just that the camera doesn't do it justice here is a pic of were mine exits just before the rear tire

Re: Lets see that exhaust!
Yeah, it's probably the camera. It's just right at the rear axles. We haven't put the rest of the tailpipe on it. Due to where we're living we had to get the bed back on. But it's definately loud. We cranked it today and I couldn't hear the tv inside lol.

Re: Lets see that exhaust!
These are lookin pretty good. I'm thinkin I'll cut out before the wheels. That hump over the axle is just more bends to F with the flow...Is it better to rock an X or H pipe as opposed to true duals?

Re: Lets see that exhaust!
Turn the volume way up, recorded with a crappy camera and it was windy..
Small block 350, summit headers, true duals, 2 1/4 pipes, thrush welded mufflers with turndowns, not the loudest but i love the sound. |
Re: Lets see that exhaust!
There's mine, Flowtech glass packs 2 1/2" pipe and 4" tips. |
Re: Lets see that exhaust!
I like the raspy sound of those Thrush welded mufflers!
My next setup, after installing some long tubes, will be the x pipe kit from 73-87chevytrucks.com Even comes with the Pypes mufflers which from what I've witnessed on youtube, sound amazing. |
Re: Lets see that exhaust!
just run the largest diameter long tube headers you can find and then run them open
or if thats to loud weld some burned out glass packs to the collecters |
