Another BRAKE HOSE question…

Installing disc/2.5 drop on a ’67 using western spindles.
I have an old junk drivers side hose off a donor truck for test fit but I cant seem to make it fit from front (like later models) or the rear (like the orig routing). The steel part of the hose has a factory bend just before the banjo flange and the caliper has what appears to be a channel (or hose groove) that clocks the brake hose so that it only mounts from the top.

So the question…
Are you guys using factory late model (73-87) truck hoses with the bend or a hose from a car that doesn’t have the bend? It looks like the car ones might work if I keep the orig routing…

(when will I learn to just buy the “kit” so I don’t have to chase everything down?) lol

ECE (www.earlyclassic.com) sells a "conversion" hose that connects in the stock 67-70 location, (behind the crossmember), and is long enough to reach your new caliper.

I bought stainless steel lines from here. Sent them my stock rubber hose and the came back perfect.

Re: Another BRAKE HOSE question…

thanks guys.
im hoping for an OTC solution...
it seems like someone mentioned Chevette hoses but i cant find the post now.

i just went outside and peeked at a 80-ish suburban for ref but the caliper inlets look like they are located different than the truck to me.... i woulda thought them the same.

i have to drive 45 minutes to work on the truck and i hate showing up with the wrong parts! lol
maybe i'll buy truck and car replacements and bring one set back....
