Do i need swaybar brackets with my current susp?

Im wondering if the brackets will make a difference in my from suspension. I ask because I've seen two different size brackets that cpp offers and I've also seen a few dropmember guys bolt the swaybar directly to the frame.

Im using cpp upper/lower lca's, 2"spindles, ss7 bags and the cpp swaybar.

I'd bolt it directly to the frame.

Both my 68 Beater & my old 74 had the sway bar bolted directly to the frame because of the drop amount.

With 2-4" front drop, I'd use the 'short' brackets (if you have to get them), or install the bushings on the inside lip of OE brackets (if you already have them). With 5" or more front drop, skip the brackets.

Re: Do i need swaybar brackets with my current susp?

I ended up getting the shorter brackets from ccp. Im using a sway bar from a '79 5/8 ton truck and guess its different that the stock one. (my truck didnt have a sway bar on it when I got it) If I bolted the sway bar directly to the frame the sway bar would hit the cross piece that goes under the motor. Did all 67-72 come with sway bars? The reason I ask is that I had to remove 1 rivit from each side and drill 1 hole on eack side for the brackets to mount up...

mine on my 67 from a 87 hit without the brackets on the frame. The short ones would work....

Bolt it right up to the frame... no brackets needed.
