tubular LCA's on a 1 ton
 
I try'd to search for my answer but keep get'n side track'd , I have a set of DMJ upper and lower controll arms that I bought from a fellow board member , he took em off a 1/2 ton suburban, if they'll work I wanna use em on my Dually.

Different size lower ball-joints. 1/2 ton lower ball-joints have a smaller OD than a 1-ton. The stud is smaller as well if I remember correctly.

so............. perhaps I can replace the ball joints and use em ????

Lower BJ's won't interchange between 1/2 & 1-ton so it's doubtful. You would need to cut out the BJ opening on the a-arm & re-weld in the correct size ring for the 1-ton BJ.
