Running Gear Swap Questions

Hey all!

Question 1:
I have an '87 1/2 ton 4x4 that came with a 7 spring pack on the left side and a 5 spring pack on the right side. 3 springs in each are cracked/broken and I would like to replace them with a good set off of a parts 3/4 ton 4x4 truck I have. Is this doable without swapping hangers?

Question 2:
I have an '88 parts Suburban that has 3/4 ton 4x4 running gear with 4:11 gears that I would like to swap everything, except the rear springs, under the '87 truck. Will I/should I swap the front sway bar with it? And will the front springs swap to the '87 without swapping the hangers as well?

Thanks for the help.

Re: Running Gear Swap Questions

The fronts should swap out just fine. The rears mite be different lengths. Just measure from eye to eye on both sets to make sure. I don't think the sway bar would matter.
