Where is the...

My buddy has an 86K5 Blazer with a 350. His coolant temp gauge is stuck at zero. I swapped his out for one of my spares and that didn't help, and I assume this means a break in the power line. My question is; where is the temp sensor on a truck like this? Pics would be mighty helpful, if anyone has them.

Sixshooter. After you locate the sender take the wire off it, turn the ign to "on" and observe guage, should stay at "0". Ground the wire and guage should go to overheat. If it follows what I said the sender is bad. If it still fails to operate, check guage fuse. (if gas guage works, fuse is ok) If fuse is ok problem is more than likely the connection between the dash plug OR a bad connection at the 3 little steel clips that connect the guage to the printed circut.
