Re: ford pitman arm
78 and 79 1/2t, maybe earlier not sure. But these aren't a true bolt on for crossover. The taper doesn't match the GM DLE. Check out Parts Mike or Sky, any of those will have the right arm.

Yeah, I know they're available everywhere. But I don't want to spend $80 when I can spend $20. Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: ford pitman arm
So why couldnt you just use the ford TRE on one end of the draglink, and a chevy one on the other? I read somewhere that somebody had used one from a ford van. I'm thinking there has to be a bigger range of vehicles with pitman arms that work.

Re: ford pitman arm
78-79 Ford F-150 76-79 Bronco and 74-90 fullsize Jeep cherokee and Wagoneer.
And heres an article where a guy used one from a Jeep YJ http://coloradok5.com/crossoversteering.shtml |
Re: ford pitman arm
I used the Ford pitman arm and bought the reamer to enlarge the taper. That way I could run the 1 ton TRE. I also had to heat and bend the arm a little to keep it from rubbing the frame. I had several people saying "Dont heat the pitman arm." Whell...that was about 3 years ago, and its still on there and still working perfectly.
