Front End Swap
 

Can anyone tell me, Is there a lot of fab working swapping the front suspension and brakes from an 87 chevy to a 69 c-10, I mean if I get everthing off the 87 will it bolt/weld into the 69 without a ton of work.

There are may build threads that show how easy it is to swap the front to disc brakes.

Does this info include 1 ton trucks? I have a 69 C 30 flatbed I would like to upgrade to discs.A wheel up grade also,not wanting the split rims that came on it. Thanks. Muley

Most of the info will work for 1-ton trucks.
I would use the 73-87 1-ton donor truck for your parts.

If you want drop spindles,... they will also have to be for a 73-87.
(the aftermarket doesn't make a "direct bolt-on" spindle for the 67-70 1-ton trucks, like they do for the 1/2 ton trucks.)

lolife99,will the 73-87 parts swap to my 69 front end or am I needing the complete front suspension? I know about 1/2 ton swaps,Ive just gotten the c30.Thanks for any advice. Muley
