Im looking for some information on swaping my 72 axles out for a corporate 14 bolt rear and possibly dana 60 front.

If they are the same series (years) it should be pretty easy. You may need different U-joints and you will need to check the drive shaft lengths and may need a brake job. There is a TON of info on the web about that swap. Should be pretty easy.

The front will bolt in. The rear spring pads and shock mounts are in different locations. No biggie, just has to be addressed.

Not necessarily, depending on what 14 bolt you use. If a 1 ton axle is used (40.5" perch spacing), it should bolt right up. 3/4 ton 14 bolts used 42.5" perch spacing, so they would need to be moved. My Dad has had two different 14 bolts installed in his '68 K30 dump ('70 or '71 Suburban frame, can't remember which :)) and they were both a direct bolt in (as far as the springs are concerned). The latest is from an '86 bread truck (cab-and-chassis dually axle). With this one he did have to move the shock mounts, as it had the later positions (LH shock on the front of the axle and RH shock on the rear side). The single wheel 14 bolt he had in there had them both on the front of the axle, so they didn't need to be moved. So you may have to move the shock mounts, but again, depends on the year axle chosen. Either way the springs should bolt up, as long as it's a 1 ton axle...

Hope this helps,

Joe
