how can i tell by looking at a frame if its long or short bed ? any help be nice

The easiest way....at a glance
The short bed frame is 192" over-all
The long bed is 212"
Give or take an inch

If you don't have a tape measure, look for the bed support mounts between the cab and the rear axle;
LWB two sets, SWB one set.

Sometimes it's hard to tell if looking at a pic but if you have a view of the bed, a long wheel base has three holes for bed rails on each side -front, middle, back. The short bed has two -front and back.

If you had one of each out in a field the shortbed one would be the one everybody would be drooling over while the longbed one would have a small cult following by people like myself. ;)
