wont start
 
ok i just drove my truck from CO to san diego

was running a little rough when i finially got below 1000ft
so i rejetted the carb and now it wont start i checked the points and they are good

i really dont where where to check

the truck turns over it gets gas but it just wont fire
the spark plugs rotor cap and points we replaced at the same time about 2500 miles ago

Points? Whats that? Ha, sorry, just kiddin. Comin down from the CO mountains to the sea shore I'd say you'd have to look over everything. K.I.S.S. Do you have spark? Uhmm, mixture. What do your plugs look like. Maybe your fouled. Let us know.

yeah i pulled the #1 spark plug out and cranked the motor the plug wire stil attached and i saw nothing

May be its your coil.I think most auto parts stores still test them.

Do you have a HEI distributor?

Check the point gap. The rubbing block can wear down to a point that the points will not open. You need to put a tiny pinch or grease on the cam lobes in the dist.
