Never thought a 3/3 and 20's would look so good!

Damn man! I woulda guessed them'z was 18's, but they'z 20's! I went down to Wal-Mart last night to pickup some snacks for our Halo Tournament, and I noticed a CLEAN white C10 pull in the parking lot. So when I came back out, luckily it was still there and the owner was sitting on the tailgate. I went over and asked him how low it was and he said "3/3, I didn't do a spindle though, I just heated the coils and used shackle/hanger in the back." It was NICE though, I asked him how much he paid for his wheels and he said $1500 rims/tires. (Centerline Archer's) It was an 82..lucky him, he has overdrive. (But I bet it was a 305!)

Low87 04-10-2003 12:37 PM

I wouldn't be bragging about heating the springs if I was him.
You want to see a 3/3 on 20s, look at Dave's truck.

TIMSPEED 04-10-2003 01:08 PM

I thought Dave's was a 4/6?

LOHRTBT 04-10-2003 01:14 PM

If it was factory, it definitely was a 305.

I think it was on all 1/2 tons.

LOHRTBT 04-10-2003 11:12 PM

You all need to attend G's Skool of Racing 305's!!

1FaastC10 04-11-2003 12:23 AM

im sure someone will chime in with how great 305s are when you add a 3.75" stroke crank. you know, shrouding the valves makes more power, right?

Prerunner1982 04-11-2003 12:43 AM

82 doesnt mean it has over drive, my 82 doesnt.... th350 here. and yes it had a 305.

1FaastC10 04-11-2003 01:52 PM

my 82 doesnt have OD YET! actually, it may not either... but no 305 for me, i gots a 350. (factory 4.1 truck)

Captkaos 04-11-2003 05:55 PM

Yes, all 1/2T US trucks between 81 and 86 only had 305.
Not sure where the OD remark came from, but it could have been either TH350 or 700R4, although the 700R4's were crap until 88-89.

LOHRTBT 04-11-2003 06:25 PM

My 86 has a 350!!! nanny nanny boo boo!! hahah
