Power disc brake conversion problems

I'll start by saying I'm not a master mechanic, so hopefully my problem is simple. I bought a disc brake conversion kit, a dual master cylinder and a 7" dual diaphram booster. I installed new brake lines, a proportioning valve and a Summit brand line lock to the front brakes.

The problem is.....
I have no leaks, bled it numerous times with a power bleeder and all I have coming out is fluid. The brake pedal goes all the way to the floor, but it does have some brakes at the floor.

The kit had no destructions so I was winging it. At the rear of the booster is a threaded rod coming out of the booster. When I made a new pushrod from the pedal to this rod, I connected it between this rod and the pedal so it did not engage the booster. I guess I'm wondering if I need to tighten the rod so it engages the booster?? I hope this doesnt sound confusing but I sure could use some help......

Did the kit come with a small 2-3" rod? It goes between the booster and MC. It is a crucial part that will cause the symptoms you are describing.

Good luck!

yes, theres a little @7/16 diameter @ 1" or so that goes into the master. I just took it off again and bench bled it (again). Now I dont have enough fluid to bleed them again. Boy, this has me baffled

Sounds like this to me too. OP it seems like yours may be a bit on the short side
