column shifter cable linkage?
Has anyone seen a cable operated column shifter assembly? Basically, something that bolted under the hood and took the column shifter linkage and converted it into a stationary bracket with a cable on it?
I was thinking that would be an easy solution for swapping to a non-standard steering column and not have to muck with getting the shifter linkage to work. Just trolling for ideas here... Kenneth |
I have seen this recently in a magazine. I cant remeber who makes it though. I'll look tonight to see if I can find it again. Pretty cool setup IMO.

XXL thats exactly what I need to free up some room for exhaust routing. I've been wondering how I was going to keep the pipe above the bottom of the frame with the shift linkage in the way. I was starting to lean toward a floor shift but that column/cable system give another option. Keep us posted I'de sure like to know how it works out for you. Thanks .... Stroker
