tire size
I lowered my 66 fleetside 4.5 in front and 5 in back. I have 15x8 truck ralleys with 255/70r15 tires and I can't get the rear wheels on with the suspension relaxed. Do I need a different tire and if so what size? Or is there a trick to getting them in?

Re: tire size
you got it jacked up with the rear end or frame?

Re: tire size
I had jack stands under the frame with nothing under the rear end.

Re: tire size
I think you're going to find that a nearly 30" tall tire is too much for that much of a drop.

Re: tire size
That's what I figured. Any idea on what size tire I would need?

Re: tire size
Before you go and get smaller tiers. What I do is jack up only the side of the frame that you want the tire on. This will cause the opposite side tire to take a lot more weight and bring the side you want to put the tire on down a lot further out of the wheel well. If both tiers are off you will need to get a tire that is easy to put on, on the truck first. I would make sure that you have the front tiers on first so that the front of the truck doesn't fall off the jack stands.
