clutch rod

Hey, I just had my brother put a new clutch in my truck, I bought several parts to replace my old linkage parts..basically everthing from and including the clutch fork and up to the pivot on the frame. I did buy the parts at LMC but I thought they would work fine..the problem is my push rod, according to my brother is too short and it seems that the old one had a section welded on the end, is this a common problem or is something wrong. he had a mechanic but the clutch in. and i cant give any more detail for I have not seen my truck since christmass when the transmission and stuff was laying on the ground. Thanks for any suggetions and help:burnout:

I am not sure what trouble you were having but there is different lengths of clutch release bearings and if you have a short one where the long one is needed then the clutch shaft will appear to be to short.
