Factory air-gauge with airride?
I want to use a factory air gauge for my 65' build. The gauge is the type that comes in the c60 trucks with air brakes and only reads up to 150psi.
the question is, since i have a 200psi system, is there a method of regulating the pressure input to the gauge or can the gauge handle the extra 50psi and just peg out? |
Re: Factory air-gauge with airride?
I would use a regulator either at the tank or under the dash to protect the factory gauge.
Maybe a small air compressor style regulator? http://www.facebook.com/notes/ordern...14437931900737 |
Re: Factory air-gauge with airride?
thats what i was thinking. I wish i could just get a simple in line regulator that was preset, so it would look like no more than a fitting. But i havnt found one for 150psi.
Also, would i need some sort of water separator/filter to protect the gauge? |

Air,... is air. That's what these gauges were designed for. |
Re: Factory air-gauge with airride?
Do you need the 200psi? If not, install a 150psi or lower pressure switch @ the compressor or tank.
