Boss 338 w 255/35/20 & 275/35/20 tires

Well finally became a member, so hope this helps me out with all the questions i have. The main question i have is, that i have a 71 stepside, and when i was in iraq my wife bought me the boss 338 wheels in black. After all the research i did, "yeap" they are still having issues with them. Seems like once you paid for your wheels, they really don't want to deal with you. So thanks to this web-site, i found out that the only way to make them fit is to turn the hub on rotors. Well, i ran it over to my buddies house, he looked at me like i was crazy, but it sure was alot cheaper to go this route than having to send them back. Anyways my question is, will a 255/35/20 & 275/35/20 combo look good on this truck if i have 20x8.5 (f) & 20x10 (r). It is a daily driver but i just go to work and home. Jobs is about 12 miles round trip m-f. If anyone can answer this and maybe send me some pics that would be awesome. Here are some pics of my truck. "work in progress".

You might want to get a mod to move this to the 67-72 discussion area or the suspension area to get a answer.

Welcome to the board.
I have requested a Moderator to move this thread to the 67-72 Message Board area.
You accidentally posted in the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) Area.

Great looking truck.
You are correct about the front wheels still not fitting without a few mods.
Those wheels will look great on your truck.

I personally am not a fan of 35 series tires,... but they will work fine.
Have you test fit the rear wheels?
You may need a spacer to keep them from rubbing the bedsides.
They have a 6.225" BS,... so most likely they will rub.

Lolife 99... As you can see all this is new to me, so that's why i posted on faq.
As far as a test fit is concerned, that is a negative. I was too wrapped up with the front hubs that when it came to it i just didn't bother with it. From everything i have read, it looks like i will be needing a spacer out back. No biggie... All the research i have done, it's probably better if i go with with like a 245/45/20 or 255/45/20 up front and probably a 275/45/20 out back.

I suggest a 40 series tire.
Just right in my opinion.
