and no snide remarks about my leaky valve cover gasket. Fel-Pro blue stripe, lasted '85 to 2011. Not bad, IMO. fixed now. right side is still clean and dry. at least 200K on that engine.

That will work fine for the swap.

here is a link to a thread on the HAMB that Lux Blue did that has become one of the go to threads on this swap on the net. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/s...d.php?t=148978
He walks you through it step by step and he has done a lot of them in his shop over the years.

The Nova is 2 inchs narrower than the camaro, also Nova is rear steer camaro is front steer.

should mention, frame is plated inside back to about the cab mount.

part of the reason it drives good is the 1.125 front sway bar and the 12:1 WS-6 T/A steering box.

Recent addition of C4 Vette rear really helped too. this thing drives like a go-kart.

Re: camaro front clip? or camaro?

no shortage of opinions here. the early rear steer Nova clip AFAIK is the same as an 67-69 Camaro. Problem with these is that it has short spindles like a 64-72 Chevelle. This means the front roll center is several inches below ground level. The later Nova and Gen2 Camaro has a tall spindle design which places the roll center about 4" above ground level. Inherently better handling deal.

the oily valve covers and the road grime, it shows that you drive it.

I jest can't stand no pristine, spottless trailer queen....
reminds me to much of my second wife.....

Re: camaro front clip? or camaro?

I used for a mobile mechanic work truck for years, stoplight to stoplight in Phoenix in the summer. That's hard miles.
