Optional/Aux Hi-note horn

I do believe this was a 69-72 only optional Hi-note horn, (I have only seen the bolt hole on the core support for it on those years)
Media blasted, painted and tested (after blasting), with wire pigtail.

Re: Optional/Aux Hi-note horn

I am interested. How can you tell the difference between this and a regular horn? Do you know the option code? Would it be listed on the SPID?
Never seen one before.
Thanks

Re: Optional/Aux Hi-note horn

The difference is the "sprial" is opposite of the standard horn as it is counter clockwise and it has an "H" cast into the bell they are mounted just outside of the headlite hole in the core support and connected with the green jumper wire.

Sorry I do not know the option code, I have never noticed it it was listed on the SPID.. (never pay attention to them).

Maybe someone could chime in and confirm if they are listed on the SPID or not??

Jeff, Would you happen to know if it was 67 thru 72 or just a couple of years?
Thanks

Without doing some checking I think it was available from 67-70 but not sure about 71 or 72.

I pulled a set off a 66 Le Sabre in a junk yard. Then I pulled the 1 trumpet style off a 72 Caddy in a junk yard. $15. I'm sure if someone wanted one they could find some on passenger car Gm's in that era.

I had a pair on a 64 impala and an 86 buick but we are talking about the original 67-72 chevy truck factory option. ;)
