14 bolt 6 lug info

I have a 71 swb 4x4 that has the 3/4 running gear under it now . I had previously posted changing back to half ton mainly because i wanted factory rally wheels and do not like any of the 8 lug wheels except the steel wheels. I rescently found a later model 14 bolt with 6 lug axles can anybody give me any info on this axle? Will it fit width wise under my truck? Can I run stock 6 lug rally wheels with this rear? Any info would be great thanks again.

It's a 14BSF(14 bolt semi-float). That means it's not a full-float and it's got a 9.5" ring gear instead of a 10.5 ring gear. It's a nice upgrade from a 12 bolt or 10 bolt. But a down grade from a full floater. Your rally's will work fine. The wms to wms(wheel mounting surface)is 67". So depending on what yours is now, it may be wider or just the same. They do make rear disc brake kits for them if you're interested in that sort of thing. Any other questions?

Well the guy wants $300 for it and i was thinking more like $200 whats a fair price on these. Also do you thing the perches will be the same or will they possibly need moved, What factory gears came in these. Thanks

Perches will most likely need to be moved. The came with 3:07 to 4:56. Usually 3:42 from what I've seen. $200-$300 is fair. The 6-lug ones are desirable.
