Trailer wiring? Where do I hook the bastard in?

Hey gang. Moving forward in my project done on my
own. I'm now trying to set up wiring for a small trailer. Are these
Simple to install? If so where do I run the wires to. Thank you for your patience as I've never tried this before.

Part stores sell a T that plugs in by the tail lights to get the lights working, for brakes you will have to run a wire from the pedal.

If you don't have them from stock just go underneath and tap tap into the rear light harness. Find which ones go where then solder the connections. so not that hard.

If you are going to do just light get one of the plug and play kits you unplug your bed from the frame and this kit plugs in between the bed and frame. You are done If you are going to do brakes do the same thing and then buy a break controller I like the Tekonsha Voyagers, then follow the directions in the box for the brake controller basically one wire to hot, one to ground, one to pedal switch, and one to the plug.

I went the easy route and got the t-connector plug and play unit, this just plugs inline with your tail light harness at the rear of the truck. It was $16 from Napa.
