Repositioning the gas filler spout on a 73

Does anyone know if you can reposition the filler spout to accept the new gas pumps? I have a 73 custom delux and I want to re locate the filler spout to accept the new gas pumps. I was thinking an in bed fille spout. any ideas?

What new gas pumps? All the pumps I've found work just fine in my '73....

In CA we have high flow pumps that have a vacuum boot on them which causes quick shut offs or overflowing of gas. I think because of the angle of the filler spout.

Does your filler neck have the large opening ?

I wonder if you could make some kind of pipe/tube that would go into the filler neck, then you could insert the gas nozzle into it, then you could hold it all at the right angles so gas wont go spewing everywhere. Some small exhaust pipe and a piece of angled radiator hose may do the trick. Might be an easy way out instead of modifying the truck.
