Fresh 350 sbc engine cheap
 

I have a fresh 350 engine that I am not going to use for sale.
The short block has been completely rebuilt, zero miles on it.
Heads are from a 305 with 1.94 valves and some light porting done.
Engine just needs ur choice of cam, gaskets, and accessories.
Comes with a set of mis-matched shortie headers and mini starter.
First person with $500 gets it.

right front of block should be a # stamped in, just infront of the passenger side head
Thats a good block with high nickel content.

Casting Date code is on the rear of the block on top (passenger side), kind of opposite the casting number. It should be smaller in size and will be a letter with a few numbers after it. for example: F122 (June 12 of 1972) This is the date the engine block was made.

DSALMAN described the location of the stamped VIN and/or date code w/ engine suffix code (which tells you what it actually came in, date when that was determined, horsepower, transmission, 2 or 4 bolt main, etc. and is usually close to the assembly date of the vehicle).

In my case, I am interested specifically in the casting date code. Thanks!!

Got busy today and didnt get a chance to get it, but will tomorrow.

BTW I also have a 350 bare block I pulled from a 72 Cheyenne.

I looked at the block and there is no date code in that location.
Checked another block and found it just as u said, not sure why there isnt one on this motor.
