C-Notch
Has anybody done a 6 inch rear drop without doing a c-notch. Looking under my Blazer last night and there doesn't look like there is enough room. If you did use one, bolt in or weld. If I have to put on on I will have to do it with the body on. I cant just take the bed off like you truck guys. Any help would be appreciated.:bowtie: :flag:

The CPP C-notch kit can be installed with the bed/body in place.

Yep........there is about 2 inches of travel before you hit the bump stop. I cut the bump stop off level with the frame per ECE The U bolt hit the bump before the axial hits the frame. Planed on a C-notch someday.

my burb has a 6in rear and its about 1 and 3/4 away from the frame it bottoms out but not too much at all only on big potholes or if you go fast over bumps.
the roads out here suck for lowered trucks! but i plan to notch it it rides alot better with a load it preloads the rear spring and actually doesn't bottom out as much. you could do the bolt in relatively easy with the body on just need a good drill and a sawzall or a plasma ? the blazer might be a better candidate for the 6 because of the weight ? |
I got a 4/6 and didn't C-notch, even had the exhaust hang below the frame and didn't have much trouble with that.
