this 2wd truck sees alot of off road it never gets stuck but sometimes it gets in a jam it rarely hits posi when i need it but ive never had it stuck i just want it to perform better when its off the road do they have any 2wd lift kits? what size tires should i run? also this truck hauls alot of scrap metal.(it just how i make my money) but it runs 600-700 pound loads every now and then and barely squats it has brand new suspension and it rides really rough i dont mind it i just wonder why its like that. and that last pic is 668 pounds of steel on the back of the truck the inline 6 hauled it around just fine

I had the same issue with my 67 shortbed stepside. It was 1/2ton with a 250 inline and 3 on the tree with 3.73 rear end . I put 32in. super swampers on the back and it made a big difference. I also hauled a lot of scrap. So better tires in the rear is what i would do if its just a traction issue.
I cant say for sure but a body lift might work or do a google search for baja or prerunner kit for your truck.

I keep throwing this thread around when I see 2wd lift questions, some one should make it a sticky.

There isn't really a lift kit available for the 73-87 trucks anymore, this guy lifted his with an 88-98 lift kit.
Other then this, if you want the truck to perform better off road, you need to get a new posi, or even better a locker. If money's no issue an electric or air locker is best.
