Swapping the 4.3L to a RamJet 350 predicament

First of all i must say i love this website, when i began my frame off i knew nothing about these trucks, and now i know where every damn bolt goes. So i want to thank everyone for the help. So heres my latest situation. Ive got the frame rolling and now its time to put the drivetrain in. Im getting a killer deal on a RamJet 350 ($5500.00)so im curious if the bellhousing on my sm465 transmission will bolt up to the new v8 engine and also i dont know if the engine mounts will have to be moved forward, back, or hopefully stay in the same shape? Ive been searching the forum like crazy and i havent found any solid info yet. And i know this really has nothing to do with my post but N2TRUX ramjet setup is beautiful, im sure everyones already seen it but wow great looking truck.

A 4.3 has the same bolt pattern as a 350 SB. It's a direct swap. All accessories will fit too. Motor mounts will also swap. Basically, you're adding two cylinders.

Please explain further concerning the engine mounts; Can the frame mounts and engine mounts be re-used and in the exact same positions?

Yes. The 4.3 is just a v8 less the front 2 cylinders. The mounts are all the same including acc.

You may need a flywheel. I think a ramjet come with a flexplate

Good point. I'm not sure how the 4.3 flywheel is weighted.
