fuel injection idea

I have an 82 Chevy custom deluxe 10, has original engine,
I have seen the fuel injection kits for sale for over 1k so today I found a 1990 Chevy blazer
With carb and fuel injection, so I thought if it would be possible to pull out the fuel injection parts and put them on my truck? If its possible how? And which parts?

Are you sure you are not looking at a throttle body?

Throttle body injection looks like a carb with injectors on it,It was used from 87 tell i believe 96 or 97 on the trucks. If you get the full set up it will work on your truck the other option is taking the tpi off a 3rd gen f body.

gana be alot of parts and it only flows 500cfm

you will have to pull the top end heads and all the bolt pattern is diffrent then standerd/votec, wire harness, computer, fuel sending unit(or buy new), exhaust headers(or weld in bung for o2), distrubuter

these parts will add up at most junk yards if you can get a complet vortec engine with computer and wire harness. around here its 300 for an engine carb/tb to oil pan header to header and 50 for the computer and the wire harnes about 200 seeing its copper

you can put an inline pump, and filter but you will have to add a return line in some cases ... vortec will flow more cfm's its a better bang for your buck
