Re: Instrument bezel lens removal
I have the bezel out of the truck, I need to get the non tach lens out so I can change it for one with the tach lens. I should have been more clear sorry.

Re: Instrument bezel lens removal
Lay the dash system face down on a towel or a soft surface with the back facing upwards.
Take a 1/4" socket driver (or equivalent) and undo all the small outer screws holding the (silver-ish) back metal plate on. I think there is something like 8 of them and these screws are found on the outer perimeter edge of the plate...screwed into the plastic bezel. Remove the main back (silver-ish) plate with all the inner guages 'stuck' (ie: mounted) to it. then carefully remove the black main inner plate. This will expose the existing lens that you have nested inside the plastic bezel. Carefully remove it and install your news lens (clean it very well....both sides first!!). Reverse the procedure above and re-install in your dash. Good Luck Coley;) |
