Mustang II IFS
I’m considering to install a Mustang II IFS on my 56 chevy truck… I thought I saw somewhere on the net that the MII with standard spindles will lower the front with 4” … is this correct ?
Any suggestions to lower the back 4” as well ? I saw some people flip the rear, but if my estimates are correct this lowers the rear 7”-8” |
Re: Mustang II IFS
flipping the rear on top of stock springs will lower the back 7''
i have a fatman mustII and it looks like this http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/n...ellowTrk-9.jpg |

Ogre, Your truck DOES look just right. May I ask how wide your rims are and if you have any rubbing issues on turns? Did you C notch the rear?

Re: Mustang II IFS
i should have added... fatman mustII with standard front spindles
i can't imagine having 2'' more of drop, it wouldn't be streetable. at dip: (you chose that name not me :D) with the fatman and 3rd gen rearend i use 7x15 up front and 8x15 in back, both with 4'' back spacing all with P235/70R15 black walls, though i will go with skinnier tire up front next time. fronts rub a bit locked to the right, barely backs have 3'' mini tubs in the bed and i can barely get my pinky between the fender and the tire. and yes to the c-notch. 3'' c-notch. but go with 4 or 5 instead, i had to put air shocks on mine. |
