AOL leaf spring question
I mocked up my AOL setup leaving 3 leafs and a 1 inch spacer on a flipped rearend on a 78 blazer. Now I put one side together with the dowel pin through the leafs and secured the u- bolts snug and let it down to see how it was sitting again, now the side I put the dowel pin through is sitting higher than the other side. The hangers look to be the same and not hanging up.It sat level when it was just a mock up.So I guess my question is with the dowel pin in the leafs would it act as a stronger spring

I'm not reading what you did with the other side. Is it bolted together or the pack is loose?

Re: AOL leaf spring question
I got it figured out.The truck sat fine on jack stands in the rear but with tires was lower on one side by 1in. or more.Started over and the lower sides u bolt plate was hand tight and let the spring sag a bit in the middle and thought I would check the floor for level and it was out by 3/4 of a in. on the bad side,TA DA fixed,I guess with the temp changing here the ground had heaved or sagged under the cement, must be a floating slab or something

Re: AOL leaf spring question
One would think all the truck 4 link kits would go right on in as well c-10-k-5 are pretty much the same suspension wise

Re: AOL leaf spring question
Its not the suspension its more the rear half of the frame is different.A universal 4 link can work but sounds like a headache to me.
