700r4 question???

So I picked up a recently rebuilt 700r4 for a price I couldn't pass up. Been wanting to do this swap since I bought my truck in Feb. My question is, is there a difference in the tail housings between mechanical and electric speedos? I've searched on here, and seem to get different answers. Some say the same, just switch out the guts, some say different, replace it.

You can put a mechanical speedo in the housing.

Have this one bookmarked for when I make the leap. Almost everything you can think of about the swap.

Most applications need a 15 tooth Gray drive gear, The guys above are out of 15 tooth gears, But TCI makes them. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/tci-880018/overview/

Simple swap I did it on mine. Take the rear housing off to access the reluctor wheel. I had to cut mine off with a cutoff wheel. Once it's removed take your new mechanical gear and clip and slide onto shaft then reinstall your tail housing with new mechanical connection and done.
