Dually Wheel Help

What is the exact process on putting dually front wheels on a 3/4 ton. I know I have to change a couple factory options but what? I don't wanna do wheel spacers if I don't have too. I want Dually front wheels on my truck but I have a 3/4 8 bolt.

Sorry for the noob post just want a good answer!

You may want to research and then possibly call these people.

2) There's no need to apologize----you spelt everything correctly and didn't use slang; i.e. "carby," "tranny" etc. That's a sign of someone who doesn't do it right.

Thank you for the post, I don't wanna buy a kit. I would like to use stuff from a square body.

Re: Dually Wheel Help

As far as the front goes, either spacers or get the DRW brake rotor/hub assembly. Frankly, spacers will be the easiest. The stress on the bearings would be the same whether you get the rotor/hub assembly or just spacers, and that is how most OEMs do their front hubs anyway these days with spacers.

All you have to do is swap the front rotor assembly for a DRW front rotor. The DRW rotor has the offset built into it. The spindle/brakes are the same.

I think wheel spacers aren't as strong compared to OEM

Perfect thank you very much, do you know if the 88 body style will fit or not? Maybe up to 91.

Except they are OEM...just not on this particular body style.

As long as they aren't cheaply made they can be as strong as or stronger than the OEM setup.

GM and Dodge both use the same hubs for 3/4 and 1 ton DRW and SRW trucks, both OEMs use bolt on spacers for the DRW applications on newer trucks. GM started this in 01, not sure when Dodge started, but I know 94+ trucks are that way. Not sure about Ford.

Just saying, it is an option, along with swapping the entire hub/rotor assembly, but generally, if your rotors are still good, the spacers are cheaper. If you need rotors, you might as well do rotor/hub assembly.

73-87(91) body style uses a different part number than 88-98 body style. The part looks almost the same, but I am not sure of the actual difference. May be bearing size or rotor diameter.
