heater causing to much battery draw?
 

As some of you guys know I had an issue with my lights dimming and causing me to have to replace my alternator over the weekend bc of the thought of the battery getting drained! But it did it again on my way home last night with the heater on all the lights started to dim, I turned off the heater and and the lights brightened up and turn signals started working just fine like nothing happened. Any comments or advice is much appreciated. Thanks guys!:metal:

bump? It's only been an hour!

Check your battery connections, alternator connections, and ground connections. Pay particular attention to the grounds, I would expect one or more of them has failed.

yeah work in less than two! checked all grounds are good.

The blower motor isn't dragging or anything? If something is drawing that much a wire somewhere has to bee getting hot. Look for it

Its not making any noise like it would be dragging the only time it does that is when i turn the a/c on full cold and fan on high and the a/c doesnt even work. I have looked at all the grounds that i could find. Can other wires beside ground get warm?

The two most important wires are from the batt. neg post to the fender or radiator mount or crossbar for the hood latch. the second is from the engine to the firewall. Also make sure you have the correct amp alt. If it drains while sitting the you have a hot wire grounded. keep looking and good luck.

Possibly a failure in your field windings on your heater motor, might be intermittently going to ground.

yeah guys it's just when the heater runs. The turn signals and all the lights work beautifully when the heater isn't on. I'm going to check the blower motor tomorrow, I'm enjoying the day with my daughter. I'll get back to u guys.
