Re: sm465 clutch
None of my business, but my 83 SM465 BB is easy to depress, or is there another reason for it? My idea is to keep the truck as simple as possible - just one more thing to repair.;)

Re: sm465 clutch
its not that bad to depress anymore anyway-had to get used to a clutch again- when i go off road an body twists a little its a pain to switch gears

I know they like to sell the born and beck 3 finger clutches when you say 4wd I was so glad when I had to to put a clutch in my moms friends jimmy and went diapharm. actually 88 up you can steal the hydraulic stuff from if you wanted to

Re: sm465 clutch
I thought '85s had hydro clutches from the factory...

Re: sm465 clutch
the truck originally came with a 305 at 208
i have swapped it all out for whats in it now do i need to swap the bell housing for hyd or is the hole for the fork enough room |
Re: sm465 clutch
Slave cylinder mounts to bellhousing for hydro setups. You would need the newer bellhousing, 85-91 Squares according to GM. Also 85-91 G-Vans, and 85-90 P-Series.
EDIT: GM Part number is 15530202, search it on ebay. You'll see the difference between it and yours immediately. |
Re: sm465 clutch
