Engine Question...GenI or GenII !?
Hi guys!
I would order at summit an edelbrock or trick flow cylinder head combo. I ve crate engine in my 1970 truck! The engine no is: 10066036 ! Is this gen I or gen II!? I dont want to order the wrong heads...because its a big problem to change them,because i life in germany. Regards Sascha |

From the numbers it looks to be a Gen 1 Targetmaster. Gen 1's are anything up until 1987. Gen 1's use a 2 piece rear main seal. Whers as Gen 2's use a 1 piece that has a removable rear housing. A external oil seal. Where as the 2 piece is internal mounted in the crankshaft's rear main bearing cap.
