Re: adhesive

I've recently used 3M weather strip adhesive(gorilla snot when I grew up) on the window channels for my one piece windows. I found it to be messy and pretty unforgiving in that application, but it did stick. When I had to fine tune the channels and put in the special window felts I used black silicone adhesive and masking tape + wedges of wood to hold things in proper place for 12 hours or so. The clean up was much easier and the fittment way more forgiving because it doesn't set up so fast. I also think there's an advantage in that it's a very good adhesive but dries flexible. For vehicles and vibration, I think that's an advantage. Love to hear some other opinions.

Then stick together

Re: adhesive

I keep a tube of silicone (calking tube size) on hand that I pick up from the Auto Glass store, cost was about 11.00 but if you keep it closed it will last a long time.

I have found this stuff to stick to everything so be careful where you place it as it is hard to remove, once it sets up.

DO NOT get it on any painted surfaces as it will be the last time you see the paint!!!!
